``Where the Bishop is, there let the multitude of believers be;
even as where Jesus is, there is the Catholic Church'' Ignatius of Antioch, 1st c. A.D
What location is this one? I have also noted in photos of recent destruction, whether from weather or earthquakes, many false churches were demolished. Interesting, since in the massive April 18, 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, the fine Catholic church built next to the original Mission Dolores to hold ever increasing crowds, was so badly damaged it had to be demolished and rebuilt, yet the original small Francisacn Mission church survived intact!
This was in 1896 at a Church at 11th and Soulard Streets in St. Louis, an historic tornado sacked this church. Just thought the picture was perfect considering the destruction that has taken place in the church!
